Impact Northwest, a non-profit, anti-poverty agency, is looking for multicultural retiree/baby boomer-age adults to volunteer their time to mentor youth from low-income neighborhoods in Northeast and Southeast Portland.
A mentor orientation will be held Thursday, March 18, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Brentwood-Darlington Community Center, 7211 S.E. 62nd Ave. in Portland.

A free seminar coming up in Milwaukie will offer information about the latest trends on identity theft and scams against seniors and how to protect yourself from being a victim of these crimes.
The seminar will be held Tuesday, March 23, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at The Milwaukie Center, 5440 S.E. Kellogg Creek Drive. Ara McClurg, crime prevention specialist with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Department, will be the presenter. For more information, call 503-653-8100.
