The Prevent Cancer Super Colon™ will visit Legacy Meridian Park Hospital on Thursday, March 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 20-foot-long, 8-foot-high inflatable replica of the human colon will be on the main admission lobby at the hospital, 19300 S.W. 65th Ave. in Tualatin. It teaches people about the risks, symptoms, prevention, early detection and treatment options for colorectal cancer. Visitors also will learn about colon cancer prevention and screening, and meet health-care professionals who specialize in digestive health. The Super Colon is a program of the Prevent Cancer Foundation, and the event is made possible by a grant from the Meridian Park Medical Foundation. The Memory Care Support Group at Courtyard at Mt. Tabor, 6125 S.E. Division St. in Portland, will meet Tuesday, March 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Enjoy conversation and support for loved ones with memory loss. Refreshments will be served. RSVP at 503-788-0896.
