• Outdoor concert by recording artist Michael McGinnis: 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 (arrive between 5 and 6 p.m.), 3680 S.E. Oxbow Parkway, Gresham (the home of Mike and Margaret Rice, one-half mile from Camp Collins). McGinnis, a past member of the New Christry Minstrels, will perform in a benefit for the YMCA Camp Collins Kids to Camp Campaign. Bring low chairs or blankets and a picnic supper (adult beverages OK). Water and soft drinks will be for sale. Rose Villa will hold a large one-time market in its Community Garden. Along with fresh produce grown by the Rose Villa residents, there will also be booths selling goat cheese, caramels, local wine and more. While you’re there, enjoy a tour of Rose Villa’s community garden near the Willamette River and get some tips on growing your own vegetables from Rose Villa’s Master Gardener, Hank Delison.
